Healthy life: article
General questions.
The number of children is nearly the same between the 3 generations. The families are nuclear families.
Specific questions.
Concerning health, we can say that our parents’ generation was in the transition position (between a healthy lifestyle and a not-so-healthy one)
Our grandparents’ lives were better because they ate more healthily and planted their own vegetables. Today, we buy and eat more transformed products (canned food, fast food). The food is fatter and not as fresh as in the past.
Our grandparents grew their own food whereas our parents prefer to buy food in the supermarkets.
Main question : Has the lifestyle of the families become more or less healthy ?
Our generation doesn’t grow anything and eat a lot of junkfood in fast food restaurants (burgers, pizzas, kebabs) and problems of obesity and diabetes are starting to emerge.
So the lifestyle of the families has become less healthy than in the past.
Comparison of our outcomes with the results of Jasudben M.L School:
We made the same remarks concerning food and health. Junk food has become prominent in our generation whereas our grandparents and parents’ generation ate more healthily.
Reflection : What went well?
What was difficult?
What would we do differently?
It was difficult to write in English because we didn’t have the vocabulary sometimes. And it was hard to meet the deadlines.
Communication between us was not always easy. And some of us did all the work.
Task division should be done better.
We learnt a lot about our parents and grandparents’generations concerning food. We realised that our lifestyle is not very healthy compared to the generation of our grandparents.
